DeFi Fraud Detection at Kraken (2018)

  • Produced a microservices-oriented fraud detection filter prototype for the Kraken digital asset exchange

Decision Support Systems at ARC Financial Corp. (2019)

  • Developed formal specifications and a decision support system in Microsoft PowerBI, C#/.NET to analyze well shut-ins and price action on target financial instruments.
  • Created a widget to map commodity pricing data from Reuters Data Scope Select into Value Navigator, reducing reliance on expensive tools and highly manual effort with the Bloomberg Terminal.

Database Sanitization and Dashboard Development at Gas Media Group (2020 – 2022)

  • Drove a 20-30% month-over-month increase in royalty generation through faster data processing.
  • Grew client base from 0 to 400 by implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) scripts with regular expressions against web pages, generating online leads at scale.
  • Developed BI dashboards using YouTube Analytics, tracking key metrics to prioritize high-performing talent and increase advertising CPM by almost 2x.

Legacy Migrations and Server Administration (2023)

  • Participated in the phase-out of legacy databases for Ramirent operations in Finland, affecting Baltic management reporting. Migrated legacy SQL queries to dbt based on IFRS requirements, enhancing statistical efficiency and improving maintenance capacities

Demand Forecasting (2023)

  • I’ve worked with data providers such as FINGRID to source energy market data through API integration via Azure Data Factory and make it highly-available in cloud databases (e.g. Snowflake)
  • Provided some concierge advisory during the project to improve whitelisting outcomes with dbt. In this instance, SQL subroutines being passed from dbt to Snowflake servers were not allowed due to blocked connections by FINGRID
